Baldwin Park Elementary School
Home of the Falcons
This is my 3rd year teaching physical education at Audubon Park Elementary. I moved here from New York last August. I was a property manager and high school baseball coach for 4 years while in New York. I decided to turn my passion for coaching into teaching and I couldn’t be happier. I went to Lemoyne College in Syracuse, New York on a baseball scholarship. This is my 3rd year serving as the Healthy School Team leader at Audubon Park Elementary.
Molly obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Central Florida in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida as a pre-licensed professional. Molly worked with the CHILL program as a student intern while obtaining her degree. Recognizing her passion for work with children and their families, Molly has since returned to work as a CHILL Counselor at Audubon Elementary for the 2014-2015 school year. In order to help students grasp mental health, preventative, and life skill concepts, Molly incorporates the use of mindfulness, play therapy, bibliotherapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy. Strength-based, solution-focused, and family therapy techniques permeate her work with students and their families to help all involved achieve their full capability.
Maintaining a healthy mind and body will ensure academic and social success for children. Health education in partnership with parents and the community is an important part of an elementary curriculum, teaching children skills and strategies that will last a lifetime. At Audubon Park Elementary we are committed to educating the whole child.
