Dive Into Summer: Educational Opportunities for Student Success

The OCPS Parent Academy is a district-wide initiative designed to enhance student achievement through the support of community and family involvement. From research, OCPS understands that students achieve more when parents are involved in their child’s education. The OCPS Parent Academy is committed to the district’s vision of being the top producer of successful students in the nation. In order to accomplish this goal, OCPS is offering the Parent Academy classes to help bridge the gap between the home, school, and the community through the provision of valuable resources.
Through the Parent Academy classes, OCPS provides FREE parental development skill-building workshops, specialized parental support, educational events, and activities for families throughout the school year. The Parent Academy offers a variety of courses for parents and the community members ranging from academic support, health care, to emotional and financial management.

The Parent Academy focuses on three primary tracks:
• Student Achievement
• Parenting and Advocacy
• Personal and Individual Growth
